We're aiming for a pavilion extension and refurbishment for the benefit of our members and the local community.
About this cause
We provide football associated activities for members of Prudhoe & neighbouring communities for children and young adults from the age of 4 to open age adult teams. We have 30 registered teams with approx 400 players involved in playing and / or training. We provide weekly training sessions and compete in competitive and non-competitive leagues and festivals. We currently have 35 volunteer coaches all CRC checked with Emergency Aid and Safeguarding qualifications. All coaches are at least Level 1 qualified. The Club has a strong committed management committee consisting entirely of volunteers. Prudhoe YC FC is an FA Community Charter Standard Club, only one of 16 in Northumberland. We endeavour to ensure high standards of coaching, child welfare and ethical standards are maintained.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The main outcome will be a fit for purpose facility for our club its 400 playing members their associated 2000 or so relatives who are integral to the local community. The social area will enable us to have meetings, team presentation evenings and Christmas parties etc. We also intend to open up the facility to the local community for events such as coffee mornings, dance and keep fit classes etc.
