We would like to set up a Nurture Room for the children who attend the early years centre.
About this cause
We are an early education and childcare centre supporting 75 families and their children. We provide a safe, secure and stimulating environment where children are motivated and encouraged to achieve their aspirations through exploratory play. Staff support the individual child and their family to learn through challenging, quality experiences. Staff encourage children to become independent, respectful and responsible citizens and to become aware of different environments in the world around them. We ensure that parents and carers are enabled to participate as equal partners in their child's learning and care. We maintain effective partnerships with the wider community through various events. We support parents who are trying to get back into employment by offering day care services.
How this cause brings people in the community together
It will provide a safe haven for young children who have suffered bereavement, trauma, emotional and social difficulties. The benefit to the community will be that as the children grow and develop they will be confident accepted and valued in their community. This will reduce vandalism, disruptive behaviour and empower young children to engage positively with their families and community.
