About this cause

Supporting adults with learning disabilities between the ages of 25 and 65 years of age. Using rented premises within Poole Park this gives the members of Club 21 a Social gathering place on Thursdays and Saturdays where they can meet with friends. We provide the clients with entertainment, motivational skills, games, bingo and lunches, also by taking them on day trips within the community and further away for weekend holidays. The club is supported solely by volunteers who give up their personal time to assist on a regular rota basis.

How this cause brings people in the community together

The club setting gives our clients a purpose and place to go on 2 occasions of the week. They look forward to meet with friends, going on trips within the community and being treated as equals and with respect and diversity. There is some risk that we may not be able to continue using our current premises. So any funding would enable us in the transition to another base within Poole.
