We want to buy a fleet of stand up paddleboards to increase the variety of watersports experiences we can offer to the local community.
About this cause
We are a fully inclusive outdoor centre in the SW Lakes offering outdoor adventure for all. Welcoming all abilities from a wheelchair user with fully impaired mobility to fully mobile individuals, all are included and all are encouraged to challenge themselves and achieve more than they thought they could. We work with a variety of groups but with this application in mind one of our objectives is to make ourselves more accessible to the local community of Broughton-in Furness and the surrounding area. To do this we are offering weekend adventure days for families to access outdoor adventures on their doorstep that they wouldn't be able to do by themselves. We are also offering holiday clubs for local children to get them active and participating with other members of their community.
How this cause brings people in the community together
It will encourage more families and young people to get into the outdoors and have positive and potentially life changing experiences both individually and with other members of their community.
