About this cause

FABB is a registered Scottish charity, with the aim of empowering disabled children and young people to take part in social, sport, leisure, educational and outdoor activates. Our projects include all ability cycling through specially adapted bikes, after school youth projects, holiday play schemes and themed residential weekends at our newly purchased and fully accessible outdoor activity centre in Stirlingshire. Many of these are activities that our participants usually face barriers against taking part in, due to their disability. We provide young people with confidence, skills and higher self-esteem, alongside creating lasting passions and friendships. In the words of one young person: “At FABB I’m accepted for who I am. I feel comfortable plus I always have an amazing time!“.

How this cause brings people in the community together

Our residential weekends give disabled children and young people the opportunity to take part in active and educational activities that would otherwise remain closed to them. This helps build confidence and self-esteem in all areas of their life, giving them the skills they need to fully integrate into their local community and build something that is fully inclusive and open to everyone.
