Inclusive Adventure programme
Community Development
We want to establish sustainable outdoor activity opportunities for disabled children and young people and their carers and families.
About this cause
Established in 2005, The Outdoor Partnership changes lives through outdoor activities. We are a community partnership charitable company inspiring thousands of local people to become involved in outdoor activities through participation, education, volunteering, and employment. The Outdoor Partnership increases participation to improve health, social and economic well-being. We currently support unemployed people through our Pathways to Employment programme, Disabled children, young people and adults through our Inclusive Adventure programme, women and girls through our This Girls Adventure programme, and the general population to help them access their natural resources on their door step to improve their health, social and economic well-being.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The project will increase participation in outdoor activities for disabled people, improving their health, well-being, skills and confidence to continue taking part as a life-long activity; enable local people to work together for strong communities and better rural environments, providing sustainable community clubs; strengthen local culture, heritage and language in the outdoor sector.
