About this cause
The Freedom of Spirit Trust is dedicated to the welfare and future of the Border Collie. On our pages you will find information about the Trust and how it was formed, our work, the history of the Border Collie and its role today and in the future. Our aims are to help promote a better understanding of the breed and its needs. We are not just a rescue kennels we also have a behavioural unit and we give sanctuary to needy, old, infirm dogs or those in need of rehabilitation or a healing time. The Trust is a Charitable organisation and depends on donations to help to keep these dogs, to rehabilitate those in need and to re-home those which are capable of being re-homed.
How this cause brings people in the community together
We attend local schools upon request and teach the children how to safely approach dogs, we host a Christmas fair in the local village hall and have our education information at that and the gazebo would be used for dogs to come and have a short behavioural assessment if needed or help with lead walking, this would enable them to be outside. This will make better mannered dogs in the community.
