About this cause

PUPs main aim is the reduction (or elimination) of unwanted and mistreated animals through neutering. We actively encourage members of the public to have their pets neutered. PUP will contribute towards or pay for this operation if the owners cannot afford it. We work with the local community, dog wardens, councils and vets to educate the public in the benefits of neutering. We also rescue and rehome with full vet check and home visit when we have to.

How this cause brings people in the community together

When a housing estate is targeted in this way we have seen a reduction in the number of stray dogs roaming & fouling the streets and a reduction in cats reduces the number of road accidents and injuries due to cat fights. Residents are more willing to continue looking after their pets as they no there will be no extra costs due to unexpected kittens or puppies to look after.
