Purley Youth Centre
Young People
Funds would cover the expenses of taking young people out to the pantomime and a residential experience.
About this cause
The project has its main aim and objective as stated: The aim of the Centre is to provide an environment where the following objectives of the PYP can flourish; to create a trusting relationship with young people so they can recognise their own worth. They can then contribute to the life and welfare community in Purley. To assist young people in meeting the pressures, challenges and temptations of a modern and fragmented society while forming their own moral standards and defences. To assist young people in channeling their energies and enthusiasm in healthy pursuits. To work with community by offering free computer and social media training.
How this cause brings people in the community together
All the outings offer educational objectives, as well as the opportunity to experience a wide range of activities and social skill development. Between 80 and 100 young people aged 8 to 13 years gather in the centre each week to attend the club night.
