The Douglas Woolcock Transport Project
Social Inclusion
We need to cover the fuel and running costs of a project for elderly and disabled people with mobility difficulties.
About this cause
A community transport scheme for those people living in our community with mobility difficulties, particularly the elderly and disabled. Both our vehicles are adapted for wheelchair users and all our drivers give their services voluntarily and are Midas trained. Their is no set charge, but donations are requested to help with the cost of fuel and running costs of the vehicle. Clients are transported to local surgeries, Hospital out patient appointments, and to other services such as dentists, opticians and physiotherapists. Regular trips are made to day care centres and residents of care homes are taken on excursions.
