We are looking to invest in some new tents and camping equipment, including stoves and cooking equipment.
About this cause
We are a Scout group for Girls and Boys in the Ilford area and with your support, we can offer youth in our community opportunities to develop themselves and make new friends and learn some skills for life. Scouts offer opportunities for all young people from 6 years old through to 25 years old and beyond as adults with leadership and support, Scouting encourages the Young People to make friends and develop themselves with activities that they may not be able to experience in their everyday life. We help them to understand their local community through many different methods like games, crafts, skills, camping and adventurous activities, like climbing, sailing, etc. Scouting also offers volunteer opportunities for adults so you can also help by giving time on a basis that works for you.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The equipment purchased will allow us to take the Young People away camping and gain a positive experience from it. As part of this sort of activity, we get them involved in menu planning, cooking and hygiene to help them with skills that will aid them later in life.
