Denholme Youth Cafe

About this cause

We are a new group of local people who have taken on the management of our local youth club in our local park. It has been set up because the Bradford council can no longer afford to keep this facility going. We are keen to provide youth club facilities for our young people or there will be no organised facilities for them in the village. As transport costs for these young people, who live on the limits of the city, few can afford to move to another youth club, even if they had the initiative. So far our best project has been a drive to get the whole of the village involved in a 'Love Denholme' project, which finishes in October this year. The young people have really rallied round & had a great time in the process. Apart from this we open for evenings & a morning each week.
