We want equipment and resources to open a new ranger group for older members of girlguiding.
About this cause
Girlguiding is a national organisation providing adventure and opportunity for girls and young women across the UK. In Hersham we have groups for girls aged 5 up to 14. We run camps, residential, run sporting events and organise community action. We are committed to improving and enhancing the lives of young women. The organisation is run entirely by volunteers who put in untold hours of work planning exciting programmes, managing accounts and actually running events solely for the benefit of others. Seeing our members grow and thrive into active, community spirited and responsible adults is reward enough.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Membership will be open to all girls aged 14-18, regardless of previously experienced with Girlguiding. Our geographical reach will be large as there are no similar groups locally. In addition these girls will be supported to be of service to their community, an integral aim of the group and will including volunteering with local events to benefit the wider community, such as remembrance parade.
