We want to run a monthly afternoon tea for charity families for extended family and friends when we can provide advice and support.
About this cause
Alfe's Cause currently support 26 families in Northamptonshire whose children are diagnosed with cancer (or other long term illness) by arranging and funding monthly activity meetings to provide a support network to one another. We also raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of childhood cancer because an early diagnosis is very important.
How this cause brings people in the community together
It came to our attention that friends of families, whose children have cancer, felt that they wanted to help their friends but didn't know how to help and didn't want to keep questioning their friends when they were already coping with their child's diagnosis. We think this project will help the community be able to support one another better & have a place they can go for advice and guidance.
