About this cause
The Cellar Trust supports people with moderate to severe and enduring mental health problems. We work with people living in our local communities of Shipley and Saltaire. There are estimated to be over 100,000 living with mental health problems in Bradford. We believe that every person has the right to a bright future and we support individuals on their journey as they move towards the goal of an independent and fulfilling life. Our services are aimed at those who are currently out of work due to metal ill-health. We offer 1 to 1 and group therapeutic support, coaching, education, vocational training and supported employment opportunities to help people develop the confidence, skills and qualifications to rebuild their lives.
How this cause brings people in the community together
People with mental health issues are under-represented and disadvantaged in the workplace. We want to help people develop the confidence and skills to get back into work and play an active role in their communities. We also want to break down the stigma that exists around mental health and be an advocate within our community showing that a mental health problem need not be a barrier to employment.
