Limbury Guides Camping Equipment Project

We plan to purchase camping equipment to encourage girls aged 10-14 to learn and enjoy the experience of camping with their peers.
About this cause
Through fun, friendship, challenge and adventure we empower girls to find their voice, help them face the challenges of growing up today, inspire them to discover the best in themselves and to make a positive difference in their community, no matter what their background or ability. We give girls a space just for them, where they can develop their skills and gain the confidence they need to reach their potential. I want to encourage as many of the guides as possible who join our unit to learn and enjoy the pleasure of camping with their peers, learning skills which will help them throughout their lives and making life-long friendships along the way, so I am looking to buy camping equipment and tents for the guides (and leaders) to use for new adventures and opportunities.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The project will help girls living in the area to gain new experiences and build their confidence and skills which will help them in later life as well as helping their families and the local community by empowering more young women to try new things and stretch themselves.
