Mosaic, Supporting Bereaved Children
Young People
We want to hold an activity day for bereaved children to meet others, share experiences, remember their special person and have fun.
About this cause
We are a Dorset wide charity offering support to bereaved children, young people and their families. We provide grief counselling for young people and support to children and families who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling or loved one through suicide, murder, terminal illness and sudden or traumatic death. We offer individual and family group counselling, residential weekends, activity days and social events. We also offer a range of training topics for professionals and agencies working with children. Since 2007, the charity has supported over 1000 children, many of the children referred are already living in disadvantaged families with poverty or drug/alcohol abuse. Whilst we have a small amount of Local authority funding, we fund ourselves through donations and grants.
