We need to resurface our car park and have the whole roof replaced to ensure we can continue to support the community.
About this cause
We support groups of all ages of our community. A Senior Citizens club meet weekly for bingo, playing card and dominoes, or just to chat over a cup of tea and a biscuit. A Bead stringing club who are made up of mostly pensioners who enjoy learning the craft of beading. Vocalise, a local choir with ages ranging from children to pensioners, who meet weekly to rehearse. Two slimming clubs who promote healthy living. Dancing and keep fit club promoting healthy living. Musical movement for babies and toddlers who meet weekly. A youth group meeting weekly and being taught life skills and training for Duke of Edinburgh awards and also tutors coaching students for their GCSE exams and a local amateur drama group who meet weekly to rehearse for their productions.
How this cause brings people in the community together
It will make the car park easier to access rather than having to drive all round the potholes which at the moment puts people off using the facilities. Having the roof done will stop the building from becoming more damaged due to leaks when it rains. The rooms will look more welcoming without buckets laid out to catch leaks.
