We want to have a separate block of kennels where sick or ill dogs can go to recuperate from operations or get better after an illness.
About this cause
We take in the stray dogs of Redcar & Cleveland. If anyone in this area loses their dog either the dog warden will bring them to us or we go out and pick them up during the times 5-8pm daily and all of the weekend . Keeping their dogs safe until they can be reunited. For those dogs that the owners don't come forward they stay with us safe in our care . Regardless of age breed or whether they are good with other dogs,they will be at Maxi's Mates until we can find them a good home. We vaccinate and make sure they are all well looked after. They get good food , plenty of walks and attention to help make their stay in kennels as happy as possible. We also provide vet care and have fund raised for those dogs that are ill or have a health condition that needed an operation.
How this cause brings people in the community together
This would enable us to do spaying and neutering operations also. To make sure we help towards keeping the number of unwanted litters down in our area.
