Help us pay for an additional part-time youth worker, sessional workers and activities in our youth club.
About this cause
The objects of the charity are to advance in life and help young people through: 1. The provision of recreational and leisure time activities provided in the interest of social welfare, designed to improve their condition of life; 2. Providing support and activities which develop their skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to participate in society as mature and responsible individuals. We work with young people aged 8 to 19 and young people with learning difficulties aged 16 to 30. We provide youth club activities in the Core; music, games, art and crafts, pool and table tennis, a safe and secure place for young people to socialize. Bringing in specialist workers to support the young people as necessary. Workshops and trips to local sports and cultural venues.
How this cause brings people in the community together
This will help reduce anti-social behavior in Egremont. Provide an additional resource for the community to help deal with the challenges some young people experience, which will help them deal with conflicts at home and school. Reducing risk taking behaviour and improving community relationships with groups of young people that congregate on the streets.
