We would like to extend our Community Nurse Service to seven days a week.
About this cause
St Vincent’s Hospice is a charity at the heart of the local community, offering specialist palliative care and support services to all those affected by life-limiting illness. We serve the communities of Renfrewshire and surrounding areas and our care is given completely free of charge to patients and their families. We simply aim to provide the highest standard of patient-centred care to those who need it. We have an 8 bedded in-patient unit, all of which are single bedded en-suite rooms, with overnight accommodation available for family members. In total the nursing team at St Vincent’s cared for 101 in-patients last year. The average length of stay was 18 days with 35% of patient being discharged and being supported at home by our own team of Specialist Palliative Care Nurses.

At St Vincent’s Hospice we serve the communities of Renfrewshire and surrounding areas and our care is given completely free of charge to patients and their families. We simply aim to provide the highest standard of patient-centred care to those who need it. By offering a community based service 7 days a week we will be able to offer more support to our patients and families in their own homes.
