We want to enhance the educational experience of pupils by developing our learning through play space and a new forest skills provision.
About this cause
Our main focus is to raise funds to enable the overall educational experience of primary school pupils to be enhanced. As we approach the start of a new academic year, we are currently looking to enhance the outdoor educational experience for all pupils of our school. We have some lovely grounds in which we are looking to enhance the learning through play provision for our early years pupils. In addition, we are looking to develop an outdoor 'forest skills focused' provision for all pupils who attend our school. This provision would be led by an existing member of staff who is both trained and experienced in forest schools provisions.
How this cause brings people in the community together
We currently have fantastic links with the local community and recently established a community hub on school grounds, run by school staff volunteers. This hub is accessed regularly by pupils and the wider community; from babies to retired local residents. Developing and enhancing our outside learning space will hopefully provide even more opportunities to develop these community links.
