About this cause

Afasic is the UK charity established in 1968 as a parent led organisation representing children and young people with specific language impairment (SLI) and speech, language and communication needs (SLCN) by raising awareness of this often hidden disability thus working for their inclusion in society and supporting their parents and carers. New Dragon's youth Club provides social and educational provisions for 11-17 year olds within the Flintshire and Wrexham area. We encourage 18 year olds to become volunteers also.

How this cause brings people in the community together

The projects helps young people to develop social skills and life skills , helping them to intergrate into the community later on.It provides a safe place which parents can leave their children in a fun and understanding environment .The young people develop skills which they can then put into practice later in life.Preparing them for the work place.
