We want to design, make or adapt as many aids as possible to help people with a disability have a better quality of life.
About this cause
We transform the lives of disabled people of all ages. We help to give them independence at home, the chance to play a sport or take up a hobby, help to attend school or college or the ability to work to support themselves. We do this by using our considerable skills to design and make bespoke equipment just for them, to do exactly the job they want it to do and we provide this help free of charge. We can do this because we are all volunteers using our skills to help people in our community. We are an independent branch of Remap working in this area.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Our project will help the local community by giving people with a disability more independence. We hope that the aids we make for them will also improve their quality of life. How Remap can help disabled people is shown in the photo. The young lad was born with his lower right arm missing. He loves to play cricket but could not hold a bat. His prosthetic arm was made so that he could hold a bat.
