About this cause
The aims of Scouting and Gobowen Scout Group is to make a positive contribution to the community and to society by helping young people to develop as active members of the community who: are self reliant, caring, responsible and show commitment. This contribution works well when young people enjoy learning through taking part in a wide variety of activities and new experiences, exploring the outdoors, participating in teams, taking responsibility in partnership with adults. Scouting is a worldwide movement for young people from 6-25 which contributes to the fulfillment of their potential, uses a progressive and enjoyable programme for personal development and is based on a set of values. Scouting is available to all regardless of colour, race, beliefs or gender.
