We want to fund trips, residentials, and holiday-time activities for children, teenagers and disabled adults to build confidence and skills.
About this cause
Our charity provides a safe and happy environment to befriend, develop, advise, support, and educate people of all ages and abilities. We aim to build community cohesion and break down barriers for inclusion leading to greater personal development and self-confidence as well as improving general community participation. We provide activities, workshops, drop-ins, support, mentoring, informal, accredited and community education opportunities, as well as social and leisure activities where people can learn more about each other and develop greater respect, tolerance and enhance community spirit. Our Core Values are Fun, Equality, Empowerment, Respect, Integrity & Making a Difference.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Trips are a great way to increase confidence, aspiration, and vital independence skills. We wish to take our children, teenagers and disabled adults on trips to encourage them to widen their horizons and see more of the country. This would lead to more confident and independent children, teenagers, and disabled adults in the community, as well as raising aspirations and better life experiences.
