We want to buy soft play and sensory equipment to enhance our group, aiding children's development and creating an inclusive environment.
About this cause
We are a non profit Parent and Baby/Toddler group that runs weekly throughout the year at All Saint's Church, Martock. We regularly welcome some 20 or so mums, dads, grandmas, granddads and carers with upwards of 20 - 25 little ones. We make no charge for the sessions, and aim to have interactive toys, craft activities, and story and song time with age appropriate themes and using musical instruments. Our aim is to provide a safe and stimulating environment for children to explore and grow through play, and a supportive network for the adults, some of whom are single parents, where they can relax, talk to others in similar situations and seek help if they need it. Our group is open to anyone from the community of Martock, and beyond, with healthcare professionals often recommending it.
How this cause brings people in the community together
We feel we serve the local community by running this group, and opening it up to everyone with babies and toddlers in the Martock area, we're seeking to further develop the group, encouraging a sense of community and aiming to be fully inclusive.
