Seaside Museum Herne Bay

We wish to enable one year group from each of our local schools to visit our museum without the need to ask parents for a contribution.
About this cause
The Seaside Museum is run entirely by volunteers. The Museum seeks to entertain, inform and educate all our visitors through our permanent displays, constantly changing exhibitions, workshops and talks, all of which relate to the history of our town and it's environment. Our aim is to foster a deeper interest and awareness of how and why the town has evolved from its earliest beginnings to the present day, to promote in young people a lasting enthusiasm for historical artefacts , their context in and relevance to the world around them. We seek to strengthen the ties between the Museum and the local community.
How this cause brings people in the community together
We welcome the chance to offer local students the opportunity to visit The Seaside museum, Herne Bay, a community project that brings a wide a variety of people together. The young visitors will be encouraged to take pride in their town and surrounding area by finding out more about its history and heritage from the earliest times, through our display of fossils, to the modern day.
