Bradfield Cricket Club
Sport
We want to rebuild our clubhouse to provide better facilities for young players.
About this cause
Bradfield Cricket is a community based cricket club, located in north east Norfolk, where it has existed since 1885, on land with a long lease from a local farming family. It runs cricket teams for all ages, with two Saturday adult teams and a Sunday side, along with various youth and children's teams. In recent years the Club has seen a decline in children's membership and, recognising that this is the life blood of the Club, it has embarked on a programme to reverse that trend. The club provides coaching for the children involved and also takes this out into some local schools, something that it seeks to expand. Overall, the club's objective is to ensure its future sustainability by increasing the number of young players, with a project to rebuild its clubhouse central to that aim.
How this cause brings people in the community together
