About this cause

We are a Church of Scotland congregation in the East end of Glasgow and we are seeking funding for a project to improve the amenities of our building for the elderly, disabled and also young families. We currently have a number of members and groups within the community who would benefit from the completed project. With the enhanced facilities, we would hope to be able to offer our premises to other groups within the local and wider community. The project will involve: the creation of new access to our halls and church, these being on two different levels; the installation of disabled toilets at both levels with baby changing facilities at the hall level; the installation of a disabled lift.

How this cause brings people in the community together

This will open up our halls to a much wider number of people who will benefit from any functions that we run within our community. The disabled toilet at the main entrance of the church will eliminate the indignity of walking to the front of the sanctuary during a service to access a toilet. This will also help with our younger age groups for the purpose of easy access for prams and push chairs.
