We aim to provide safe hygienic housing for the dogs in our care and urgently need to refurbish and update 26 pens in our block.
About this cause
Carla Lane Animals In Need is a non for profit, non destruction animal charity based in Melling promoting the prevention of cruelty to all animals. We aim to help the most vulnerable animals. We are an animal sanctuary that rescue, rehabilitate and re-home abused, ill treated and abandoned animals. We provide a much needed help in the community by helping those people who rely on companion animals, whilst remaining respectful to all the animals and people we assist. Special attention is paid to educating people in the necessity of neutering pets and feral cat colonies to prevent unwanted litters and the increase in homeless animals. We especially aim to educate people as to the welfare needs of the animals they have in their care and offer support via our outreach programmes.
How this cause brings people in the community together
We recognise that there will always be animals that need to be rescued that have been abused/abandoned. Enriched habitats impact favourably on the behaviour of dogs in kennels. We want to create a safe,enriched environment for our dogs. We offer help and support to animals and their owners in the community and by having the right facilities we can continue to help save more lives in the future.
