We want to provide good quality play equipment for pre-school children including those with special needs.
About this cause
Two of Queensway Chapel’s objects for the benefit of the public are to provide care and education. The Family Centre provides a safe and welcoming environment where parents and carers can play and learn with their children (from birth to school age). The adults can develop friendships with others and have quality time with their children. We have close links with Health Visitors and details of activities are held at the local Children’s Centre. The church covers salary costs so we make a small charge per session towards craft items and administration costs.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The activities are attended by families throughout the town and the new equipment would extend the number of families for whom the activities would be appropriate. Children with special needs currently need to attend sessions in neighbouring towns.
