About this cause

We aim to be a focal point where Christians and non Christians are welcome to worship together or simply come to meet people and find out more about Christianity. Church is used for christenings, weddings and funerals. School also regularly uses church for a variety of events involving the wider community. All Saints is a Victorian masterpiece designed by architect George Gilbert Scott in 1862. Fund raising events such as well attended concerts provide funds for restoration. We strive for our church to be a living church, not just a museum, but regrettably the acoustics, particularly for speech are not great and at present many older people are deterred from attending and events involving children are challenging. For these reasons Nocton PCC has finalised plans for a sound system.

How this cause brings people in the community together

Our church is used by the whole community. Many previous members of the congregation no longer attend services as they are unable to hear. The school, which is across the road , use it on a regular basis, often for events involving parents and carers, including noisy toddlers! They do not have a hall. Concerts, other community functions and meetings are regularly held there.
