We want to buy a football cage to use in our community to promote closer community ties.
About this cause
We are a local community church that alongside regular church activities has a youth outreach, food bank and other support services available for the local community. Our youth outreach includes regular community events at our church and in the local community hall, street cafes outside the shops on Friday nights giving away free hot chocolate, holiday drop ins and other events for local youth. We hope to enhance this outreach by purchasing a mobile football cage and trailer to use locally. Our objective for this project is to purchase a football cage and trailer for use at our church and in the local community.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Bring the key youth groups together and promote sport, physical activity and well being. Allow youth who are not part of the community to see how easy it is to fit in and not feel separate and remote. Other groups (Rotary, schools, churches, Brownies, Scouts, cubs etc) have all expressed a desire to use the cage during their own events and associations to again reach out to those "remote" youth.
