About this cause

We are a parent-led charity, which provides a broad range of support services for children and adults with autism and their families. The 816 Club will provide a developmental opportunity for children and young people ages 8 to 16 with autism and also much needed respite for families who care for those with complex needs in Denbighshire. Some are non-verbal and have severe sensory sensitivities that may affect them so much they withdraw into what we know as common autistic behaviours such as spinning round, constant pacing and hand flapping. Providing specialist autism specific support, the 816 Club will give autistic children opportunities to develop friendships, learn basic skills such as sharing and working as a group, get physically active, have fun and enjoy themselves.
