We have achieved funding for a hologram of a Miller on one floor in the windmill but we want to create other hologram characters.
About this cause
We help our local community by local schools and organisation/groups/individuals holding monthly changing Community Exhibitions inside the restored Grade 2 Windmill enabling them to show case their work to all. We have 70 Volunteers who rely heavily on the volunteering role to reduce social isolation/make new friends. Our objectives is to give the community a central location to being local groups together and also to teach the history of wind-power through the ages. We have now been open for 5 years and the organisation is going from strength to strength, but we want to do more!
How this cause brings people in the community together
The educational benefits cannot be stressed enough, especially with children as history soon gets forgotten and holograms are a way of bringing this to life. This also will help bring more visitors to the monthly changing exhibitions, so more people will learn about an organisation such as MENCAP, Cancer Care and local schools/groups.
