About this cause
The Sutton and Croydon MS Therapy Centre runs specialist physiotherapy sessions that can help 162 people live well with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). We also offer Pilates, pain relief, massage, and counselling to provide our Members with a range of tools to help them best manage their symptoms. Vitally our Centre offers much more in terms of camaraderie. Knowing they can spend a few hours a week with others in the same situation gives Members a real lift. MS is a neurological disorder which affects the central nervous system and distorts or stops the messages that travel between the brain and the body. This is what causes a wide range of symptoms. Currently there is no cure, but our therapies, and our specialist equipment can help our members get the best quality of life possible.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Anybody with MS is welcome to attend our small and friendly Centre, and get the expert help and guidance they need to manage their MS. Having specialist equipment, such as this Balance Master machine, means our dedicated physiotherapists can offer the most effective exercises to achieve the best results for our Members.
