About this cause

We provide a Hall and Community Wildlife Garden for the people of Littlemore and surrounding area, as well as running volunteer led community activities e.g. Little Chuggers Play and Stay group, Family Bingo, a monthly Coffee Morning and two fundraising Fayres each year. We host Brownies, a Woodturners Club, the Village Band, and Health classes e.g. Pilates and Seated Exercise for the Over 60s, as well as family celebrations. Littlemore has 24% adults and 30% children living in poverty. The number of people with disabilities is above the national average. Many live in compact accommodation, without gardens or play space. Our objective is to improve the conditions of life for all residents through provision of an affordable, comfortable, community space that is accessible to all.

How this cause brings people in the community together

Safe access into our Hall and Community Wildlife Garden will allow residents to enjoy this sheltered oasis for relaxation, learning and play. This project offers equality of access to facilities that will enhance quality of life and enrich outdoor experience. All sectors of our community will be able to enjoy the Hall and garden together, at regular meetings, events and family celebrations.
