About this cause
Forres in Bloom works with local partners and young people in our community to enhance the quality of life and create better and sustainable environments in our town. We plant and maintain many green areas in the town including the formal bedding and floral sculptures in Grant Park. Through sponsorship we provide window boxes, hanging baskets and barrels throughout the town. Forres in Bloom also has a youth section called the Wee FIBbees which encourages primary school children to get involved in planting, maintaining and generally enjoying the outdoors. Forres in Bloom also provides contact with the natural environment for local people and raises awareness of biodiversity and sustainablility.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Forres has been famous for its flowers and park for many years. The High Street in the town has gone through a difficult time with many shops closing. Any help we can give to this can only be beneficial. The parks and gardens in the town encourage visitors which in turn helps the businesses in the town. Colourful tiered planters in the town can only enhance and further brighten our town.
