Help us cover the costs of transporting disabled children to and from the centre in our minibus, and taking them out on regular trips.
About this cause
The centre cares for 13 children with severe and complex disabilities from 0-5 yrs old. They are referred by Health professionals who have concerns about their development, and are supported by 8 highly skilled and qualified staff who offer 1:1 support, various therapies, education and play experiences. Activities are carefully planned to meet each child's individual needs and followed intensely to help maximise their potential. The children have access to a range of therapists and specialist agencies who work closely with our staff to help each child be the best they can be. Parents are offered support and respite, and training to help their own child eg Sign language and other communication methods, sensory play etc. Most of all, we make sure the children have lots of FUN!
How this cause brings people in the community together
Pre-school children with disabilities have limited access to suitable nursery education, and we provide a high quality 1:1 service meeting all their needs. Many rely on our bus for transport to and from the centre. Parents benefit from the respite and support received while the children are in our care. Children have opportunities to experience a wide range of exciting fun activities.
