We would like to replace our camping equipment and buy a trailer to transport it to the camp sites.
About this cause
We engage and support young people in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society. We provide adventurous activities for boys and girls aged from 5 - 14 years, through Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. We go camping, do overnight hikes, beach games, water activities, community events such as planting for Mablethorpe in Bloom. Scouts get involved in local events such as the beach annual beach clean. We are involved in international Scout events such as Poacher at Lincolnshire Showground this summer. Scouting provides children from all backgrounds the opportunity to come together and learn new skills, experience a range of different activities and work together for their community.
How this cause brings people in the community together
By coming together as a group, children will benefit from a sense of cohesion and team work. They will learn skills that will benefit them individually and the wider community. Many children in Mablethorpe and surrounding villages may not have a holiday and the camp will provide them with a holiday they will remember!
