We need to pay for room hire, food, resources and staffing for family groups that allow bereaved families to get together.
About this cause
Child Bereavement UK supports families and educates professionals when a baby or child of any age dies or is dying, or when a child faces bereavement. Every year we train over 8,000 professionals to help them better understand and meet the needs of the grieving families they come into contact with in their daily working life. Our vision is for all families to have the support they need to rebuild their lives, when a child grieves or when a child dies. Our mission is to ensure the accessibility of high quality child bereavement support and information to all families and professionals by increasing our reach and plugging the gaps that exist in bereavement support and training across the country and embedding standards in the sector.
How this cause brings people in the community together
These groups have been running for more than 10 years, helping hundreds of bereaved children in Bucks feel less isolated, more confident & able to talk about their loss. They can then inspire other children who experience bereavement. Previous members have gone on to become youth ambassadors for CBUK and a current Co-op employee who previously received support, recommended we apply for funding.
