Help us extend our community centre activities and services including access to free food and day trips out for disadvantaged children.
About this cause
Who we help: We are a community centre that serve's local residents and surrounding neighborhoods and constituencies across Wirral. The local area is ranked in the top 2% most deprived areas in the UK. Presently we offer; Domestic Abuse Support Free Breakfast Club Community Garden Project, ITC access & support, Community Arts, Reduced Podiatry and Chiropody, Life Long Learning Education, Debt Advice, Job Search/CV writing, Stay and Play, Bingo, Tia Chi, Samba Drumming, Fun Days, Free food parcels & free food for children during the school holidays. Aim/Objectives: To assist in the alleviation of the high levels of multi deprivation that exist locally. Tackling issues around education, employment, training, advice, guidance, support and health.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The Centre provides much needed resources and services within the community. It provides a safe haven for many families to engage and access services that promotes community cohesion and well-being. The project will build on the success rate achieved to date and support the continuation and development of much needed resources, activities and services. Our present reach is 800 people per month.
