About this cause

Scotts supports adults with learning disabilities to strive to reach their aspirations and make choices about how they want to live their lives through three interlinked services, based near Tonbridge in Kent. St Peter's Row, our residential care home provides three interlinked houses and care to 15 adults, some with quite complex and higher dependency needs. The Oaks and Willows, two independent living houses, each providing a comfortable home for four people who have chosen to share a house with others as a step to independence. There is also a flat for one person. Our on site Development Centre, welcomes 70 students each week to a range of highly-regarded, practical courses designed to develop life skills, confidence, an opportunity to socialise and build friendships.

How this cause brings people in the community together

Scotts has been running for 25 years and is very much embedded in the community, providing a valuable service to those in need. We will offer many more local adults the opportunity to learn life skills and meet new friends at our Development Centre. We remain true to the original ethos of a mutually supportive community in a non-institutional and homely environment in lovely surroundings.
