We want to deliver a new tailor made programme of intensive support to help young players improve their individual and team performances.
About this cause
Marr Rugby is a community club providing access to high quality and high performance or social rugby opportunities for players, coaches and spectators from Troon and its surrounding area. We have three senior teams and a youth section covering Minis Rugby from P1 to P7 (age 5-11 years) and Youth Rugby covering all secondary school ages and stages. We have over 500 people involved in sport. We run Marr College’s School of Rugby initiative and provide inputs on rugby to every local primary school. This is led by our development officer, supported by an assistant and our team of volunteer coaches. Our youth rugby focus has twin aims. 1) support and improve the well being & development our young people 2) provide a pathway into adult rugby and play at the highest possible levels.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Marr is an integral part of the community, well recognised and respected for our work. The project will enhance what we do and benefit young people improve their overall well being, becoming successful learners, confident individuals, responsible citizens and effective contributors. Letting them achieve their potential will strengthen what we do and provide greater opportunity for the future.
