We want to buy resources and equipment for families to use at play hub groups and help with payment for venue hire.
About this cause
BAPP provide a range of services for children, young people and families across the Bath area. Services include Community Play Rangers, a Pre-school, Holiday Playschemes for disabled and non-disabled children and young people, youth provision, a toy and equipment library and a Family Play Support service. All our services strive to be inclusive and welcoming, supporting the child's right to play. We support children and families to build positive relationships through play, whether attending services together or children on their own. Playworkers start with what people can do, focusing on their strengths enabling them to develop confidence and independence to make positive changes. This could be respite for a parent of a disabled child, a Nurture group in school, or whole family support.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Family Play Hubs bring together families in communities that may be socially isolated or lack confidence to join in with groups. The Hub groups support family relationships, provide support for parents to play with their children in a community space, supporting them to increase their confidence and enjoy time together. The community benefits from a stronger network of support & happier children!
