We're starting a new brownie pack in Dunbar and need to buy equipment and stationery.
About this cause
We are re-opening a much needed extra Brownie pack in Dunbar as there is a very large waiting list. We are starting on Wednesday 23rd August and we have to start from scratch with very little funds and we need to buy resources and stationary for the children. Brownies is usually for girls aged 7-9 years old. The develop many life skills by earning badges and learning to work in small groups and learn about the world. There is a charity number for the girl guiding uk but im not quite sure what it is at the moment but can ask someone for it. Also every year in February you have to pay £31 per child to the girlguiding association which we need funding for too. There are 3 volunteers from Dunbar starting this up. Any funding we can get would be very much appreciated. Thanks.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Gives young girls the chance to join a group as at the moment there is a massive waiting list and kids are missing out as theres not enough groups. Brownies help out in the community.
