About this cause
The Owleywood B-P Scout Group provides Scouting activities for boys and girls from 5 years upwards from the local area. Our aim is to maximize the development and happiness of young people as citizens of the world in the 21st Century. We are passionate about the value of being outdoors, traditional scouting skills including building shelters, cooking on open fires, woodcraft , and observation and protection of nature which is included in our Scout Law and Promise. Through a varied and well planned programme of activities we encourage all of our members to work together and promote the development of self-confidence and initiative.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The B-P Scout Association hold area and national meetings in the hall. These are attended by members of all ages from the local area, nationally and internationally. The hall is also used for training sessions throughout the year, e.g. first aid, child protection, Wood beads and D of E Award training. Cheshire Wildlife Trust use the facilities regularly and a Jujitsu group meet weekly.
