About this cause
We are a local rural Primary School with approximately 400 children on role from Shipston on Stour and the surrounding villages. Our objectives are to improve the children's surroundings and well being within the school. We are looking to create several outdoor reading areas and play areas for various year groups in order to stimulate and nurture the children within their surroundings to create a tranquil relaxing area.
How this cause brings people in the community together
This will help children who struggle to settle or concentrate in the confines of a classroom and feel more at ease. Children will feel refreshed by stepping outside rather than being in a formally structured classroom environment helping them to refocus and engage in their reading skills in a comfortable setting. The outdoors offers an inspiring and multi sensory environment for them.
