About this cause
Our Mission is to provide a safe place for young people to learn and thrive in our community, by making available a wide range of educational, social and recreational activities to help realise their potential. We facilitate the use of our premises by partners and complementary community groups to deliver positive outcomes in keeping with the underlying values of The Safety Zone. How this cause brings people in the community together
Bargeddie is an area of multiple deprivation and older people are often isolated in their homes due to lack of opportunities. We want to provide alternatives to sitting at home where people can meet, socialise and swap reminiscences. The Safety Zone is mainly focussed on young people and we aim to encourage intergenerational working and respect by bringing groups together in this way.
